Why full-stack matters for small teams
One developer who covers the interface, the server, the database and the hosting means fewer hand-offs and one person accountable for the whole result. When a payroll figure looks wrong, the same person can trace it from the screen to the database and fix it, which is how the Goodly Trading HRIS reached hand-verified payroll output.
Choosing the right tool for the job
Not every project needs the same stack. A multi-company payroll platform suits Next.js and PostgreSQL, a two-branch sales app runs well on Express and SQLite, and a club website can be plain HTML with no database at all, like Vespa Club Davao. I pick the simplest stack that fits, as explained in hand-coded site or page builder.
